Deputy General Manager- Support Services 

A leading Sudanese Agro- industrial company is currently seeking to fill the post of the Deputy General Manager — Support Services according to the following requirement

EDUCATION, AGE, EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferably Higher University degree in finance, accounting, or economics. Professional Certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA or CFA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the concepts of management: this includes the strategic and financial planning, resource allocation, leadership skills and coordination between employers and optimal use of resources.
  • Full knowledge and supervision on the administrative aspects of marketing and business development and efficiency in the private sector.
  • Full knowledge of computer programs that serves financial and human resources, and the continuous development of the business.
  • Experience and advanced training in the administration of the institutions of the agricultural or industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • At least 10 years’ of advanced experience in leadership positions, preferably in the sugar industry or agricultural manufacturing and other areas of manufacturing.
  • Age preferably to be less than 55 years old.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • knowledge of sugar industry

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The duties and responsibilities of the DGM- Support services include but not limited to:

  • Assisting the General Manager formulation and implementation of short- term and long-term objectives, policies and strategies of the company in accordance with the priorities.
  • Ability to manage and provide leadership, including managing financial and human resources, identifying goals and priorities.
  • Managing and motivating Department Heads through effective communication to ensure that approved plans, programs, and departmental performance is aligned to Company overall goals.
  • Maintaining and strengthening the Company commitment to having a well presented, well trained and effcient workforce that reflects the Company image.
  • Compliance with the company operations, in accordance to regulations and rules.
  • Maintain and development of the rights and interests of shareholders.
  • To assist the General Manager in the activities to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the management of resources.
  • Create esprit de corps within departments and building team confidence to boost productivity of employees to achieve organizational objectives and accomplish the tasks in accordance with the scheduled preparations.
