Position summary:

Sales Engineer is responsible for utilizing his/her technical knowledge as well as sales skills to provide advice and support with the intention of selling available products and services.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition
    • Search for new clients/opportunists who might benefit from company products or services and maximize client potential in order to grow the customer base and generate sales.         
  • Client Relationships
    • Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements thereby retaining their business.                                            
  • Product Requirements
    • Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery thereby creating higher probability of sales.                                            
  • Product Education
    • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and education, design and develop presentations to emphasize how products and services meet their needs.Updating customers with new products/servcies available.                       
  • Sales Targets
    • Meet sales targets to ensure business unit profitability .         
  • Sales Documentation
    • Produce and Maintain records of all sales related activities RFQ’s, Quotations, Invoices etc for administration purposes and to ensure the easy reference to cost analysis and sales data. Invoices collection.                       
  • Market Research
    • Conduct market research and study new products and technologies, attend conferences and marketing events to ensure that products and services evolve with the market.Knowledge of competitors products/services.             
  • Customer Retention
    • follow up with all the customer post product/service delivery , to create more oppurtunities and to retain existing customers       

Minimum Qualification & Experience:


  • BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.


  • Minimum2 years experience in an Engineering Sales capacity.     
  • Minimum 1 years exposure to Power system.                                
  • Sales and Marketing Experience.
