1- Finance and Administration Officer
Salary: 10,025.14 SDG

Background:
The Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS), in collaboration with the Swiss Red Cross (SRC), is recruiting several positions based in El Obeid town (North Kordofan State), for its new West Bara Integrated Community health Project 2019 – 2022.

Project Description:
The Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS) and the Swiss Red Cross (SRC), who have been working together since 2011 in Sennar State, began a new partnership in North Kordofan state in 2018. The partners ran an assessment in the latter half of 2018 in West Bara locality to identify the priority needs and options for intervention. From this assessment, the West Bara Integrated Community Health (WBICH) Project was jointly developed by the partners, to be implemented in 10 target villages from West Bara Locality and aiming to reduce morbidity and mortality related to waterborne diseases and maternal health, with the following outcomes:

The target population has better access to water, sanitation and key basic health services
The target population has improved health and WASH behaviour
The capacities of SRCS Branch and Unit levels are enhanced
Main job purpose:

To contribute to the efficient, effective and sustainable implementation of SRCS/Swiss Red Cross WBICH project, in accordance with required quality standards, in order to address beneficiary needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Management of WBICH project budget and support to Project Officers in their implementation of activities in line with project budget
Implementation of Administrative and Human Resource procedures
Effect project related payments and provide logistical support
Reporting and coordination

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and Finance management, Master’s degree preferable
Minimum of 5 years of working experience
3 years of working experience with international/national organizations preferable
Proven experience in Financial and Administrative management
Good English: spoken and written (compulsory)
Excellent Computer knowledge of MS, Word, Excel and Accounting software (knowledge of Banana software will be an asset)
Knowledge in budget follow up and forecast
Ability to work as part of an international team
Able to work in stressful environments
Willing to regularly overnight in project villages
Good communication skills
Employment conditions
Annual contracts renewable according to yearly appraisals
Salaries will be based on SRCS salary grid and candidates’ qualifications and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Management and implementation of the WBICHP according to project documents; logframe, operation plan, M&E plan and budget
Management of project team including recruitment and induction support, activity planning and follow-up, and performance appraisals
Ensure that project complies with HR, finance, procurement, and logistics procedures
Reporting on project activity and indicator progress monthly, quarterly, annually using prescribed templates
Coordination and representation of project in relevant forums and with project stakeholders

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s degree preferable
Experience in projectmanagement
Minimum of 6 years work experience
4 years’ work experience with international/national organizations in humanitarian sector
Proven experience in team management
Fluency in English, spoken and written (compulsory)
Good Computer knowledge of MS, Word, Excel (compulsory)
Knowledge of budget follow up and forecasting is an asset
Ability to work as part of an international team
Able to work in stressful environment
Willing to regularly overnight in project villages (mandatory)
Good communication skills
